Welcome to my version of living life.
Welcome to my little bit of the world! I'm Megan Mills Hoffman, a big thinker, advocate for personal growth, consummate community organizer, and believer in our tremendous capacity for learning to nurture our soulโs strength.
Growing up in Alaska, on the edge of wild-ness in a community of self-starters, instilled an appreciation in me for nature's logic and the value of heart-full resilience. This is a transcription of my journey from the semi-rural life of an Alaskan upbringing to the developing revitalization of western New York. I intend to help move you to deepen your capacity for change and growth, to cultivate resilience, and to live life with a sense of rich, meaningful purpose.
I believe that true freedom is developed in the interplay of relationships, and that by grappling with personally meaningful challenges, we can forge our own unique path to success and fulfillment. The world needs more self-starter-style initiative. Our communities need leadership from individuals who begin self-identified tasks and projects in response to their inner voices, without needing to be prompted, supervised, medicated, regulated, or punished. To bring forth the goodness inherent in our personal responsibility, we must master commitment to our goals and be willing to take risks, transforming every obstacle into a benchmark of satisfaction.
Iโll be discussing, reflecting on, and sharing topics related to self-education, living in freedom, the study of our humanity in raising our kids, our responsibility for developing our character, and the art of living with love. In the process, I aim to refine my own internal critical eye into one of shared compassion and delight.
The characteristics of your ideal community areโฆ?
Youโve heard the adage, โIt takes a village to raise a child.โ Have you heard the counter-sense of, โI know the village, and I DONโT want IT raising my child?โ
Thereโs a groundswell of longing, among new mothers especially, for a village worthy of our participation. One that resonates with our values. But what can that look like, and how to find or create what weโre looking for?
Join me in navigating the complexities of all of this with grit, grace, and a deep appreciation for the beauty that can exist in every interaction with another being, no matter how buried and obscured our most worthy human traits may still be.

If youโre here simply to gather whatโs available for the gleaning, thatโs cool. You can expect an assortment of musings as I navigate how to gain traction in living life on my own terms, with vision, inner joy, and resources to spare. I might not be your cup of tea. Be on your way speedily, and do not think to linger.
Iโll write about practical concerns like how to think about LIFE and insuring yours, what questions to ask yourself, what you can do for your family, why itโs ah-MAZing to have a work-from-anywhere career, to be able to appreciate and cherish childhood, and the light required for you evaluate it all for yourself.
Iโll transcribe some of what makes Rudolf Steiner the guiding intellect and soul behind Waldorf education and biodynamic farming, what makes his insight so relevant for these days, what I see as our tasks as human beings in this post-2020 era, and, to the best of my ability, how it is that Iโve come to these perspectives.
If youโre interested in seeing where it all goes, or heck, just resonate with where I want to go with all of this, be sure to subscribe. Iโll share more intimate, personal experiences, showing how โthe personal is politicalโ as it relates to Rudolf Steiner, Anthroposophy, Waldorf education, and the Cosmic Christ. Iโll share the skinny on how things go down in the real world when youโre a firsthand participant operating within the monolithic corporate monopoly of todayโs popular propaganda.
And Iโll offer a million and one action steps you can start incorporating immediately and over the months to come.
Excited for this Megan! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
